Our Reception

In Reception, children continue to develop their independence, confidence and curiosity while building on their previous learning experiences.

Children take part in daily phonics lessons using Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised, develop their early reading and writing skills through Drawing Club, and build secure mathematical understanding through Mastering Number.

Alongside adult-led teaching, children have opportunities to explore, investigate and apply their skills through our carefully planned continuous provision.

We aim to ensure children develop the knowledge, confidence and independence needed for a successful transition into Year 1.
