Funded Childcare and Chargeable Extras
At Heaton Avenue, A SHARE Primary Academy, we are committed to providing high-quality early years education and childcare that is accessible and inclusive for all families.
Children accessing funded childcare places are entitled to receive their funded hours free of charge. Parents and carers will never be required to pay a fee, top-up charge, or purchase additional services as a condition of accessing their child's funded entitlement.
In accordance with the Kirklees Provider Agreement, we publish details of our funded offer, the pattern of funded hours available, and any optional chargeable extras that parents may choose to purchase. All chargeable extras are entirely voluntary, and where applicable, reasonable alternatives are available.
The information below outlines our funded sessions and any additional services that may incur a charge.

Optional Chargeable Extras
The items listed below are optional extras that families may choose to purchase. Children will not be excluded from their funded place if parents choose not to purchase any of these items.

Alternatives Available
Parents/carers and carers may choose to:
- Provide their own packed lunch.
- Decline participation in optional activities or visits.
Parents/carers are expected to:
- Supply nappies and wipes for their child where needed.
If you do not wish to take up specific extras, for example, because you would like to provide your own, please let us know, so options can be discussed.
